Loneliness Campaign
Alone Together is a campaign which encourages the general public to help with the loneliness crisis amongst the elderly. Age UK requested a campaign to be made using both poster designs and an animation.
My idea to crack loneliness stems from the help of the UK's most loved pets - dogs.
As there are many working families who own a dog, it can sometimes be difficult to split time efficiently between work, family-life and spending more time with our pets. Additionally there are many elderly people who would love a pet, however decide against it due to how much care they require. Therefore, my idea was to allow elderly people in the community to dog-sit during the day, like a doggy daycare service. This means the elderly people get interaction with the dog's owners, as well as the company of the animal, without having a full-time responsibility. The elderly person can enjoy spending time with the dog and the working family can benefit from peace of mind that their dog is receiving the attention it deserves.
